The inaugural season for the SCC Esports team starts with a bang! 

 

The esports program competed in 3 different esports in the NJCAA Tier 3. The esports included Overwatch 2,  League of Legends and Valorant. 

SCC had 2 Overwatch teams and 2 Valorant teams and a single League of Legends Team.  These teams included 26 students. 

 

The team found early success in NJCAA T3 with the Overwatch team going 13-6 on the season and finished 2nd place in the T3 playoffs. The Valorant Varsity team finished 7-6 in the NJCAAE Season and loss to Rose State Community College in the playoffs. 

 

The team also competed in the first ever NJCAAE Region 16 LAN tournament at State Fair CC. Both the Valorant and Overwatch varsity teams competed at the Region 16 Tournament and the Valorant team finished 3rd place after beating State Fair and Moberly Area Community College in the early rounds,  but losing too Crowder College in the Semi Finals in nail bitter games. 

 

We are looking to branch out into other games this next semester including Rocket League and Marvel Rivals. We also plan to continue to grow our Valorant and Overwatch teams in order to reach new heights
